Outlander Titles Pitch // Passage of Time

Pitch boards for the title sequence to Outlander. The story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743.

'Passage of Time'

Claire’s journey back to 1743 is illustrated in this treatment through a series of beautifully shot sequences which play both with the speed of the footage and the direction the time is flowing in. We will use time lapse techniques and slow motion, sometimes using both techniques in the same sequence. We will reverse some footage to run backwards and occasionally speed ramp too - adding tension and engaging us with the action.
